Une culture de bienveillance commence par un seul acte de bont\u00e9.  La plupart d'entre nous ont certainement des moments de gentillesse.  Nous avons appris nos bonnes mani\u00e8res et comment traiter les autres ; et \u00e0 part quelques d\u00e9rapages occasionnels, nous faisons g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement preuve de gentillesse envers ceux que nous connaissons et aimons.   Mais qu'en est-il de ceux que nous ne connaissons pas ?  Que nous n'aimons pas ?  Dans certaines cultures, il y a un grand \u00e9cart entre ceux qui sont \"dans\" mon cercle de bienveillance, et ceux qui ne font que passer anonymement, momentan\u00e9ment sur le chemin de ma vie.  En fait, dans ma ville, si j'entre dans la maison d'une personne, elle ne peut pas me couvrir d'assez de gentillesse.  Mais dans la rue, ou dans une voiture, je ne suis souvent qu'un g\u00eaneur ou un concurrent pour une place dans la file d'attente.  Je ne suis pas une personne avec laquelle on peut s'entendre, mais plut\u00f4t une menace \u00e0 vaincre.   Est-il ill\u00e9gal d'\u00eatre gentil avec un \u00e9tranger ?<\/p><p>Ou, est-ce que la gentillesse \"t\u00e9m\u00e9raire\" est le seul moyen de transformer une soci\u00e9t\u00e9, de calmer l'hostilit\u00e9 et de renforcer l'interd\u00e9pendance bienveillante.  Les encycliques du pape Fran\u00e7ois, <i>(Fratelli Tutti<\/i> et <i>Laudato Si\u2019<\/i>, portent essentiellement sur la d\u00e9couverte, la reconnaissance et la contribution \u00e0 notre interd\u00e9pendance : entre nous ; avec la Terre, notre maison commune ; avec tous les peuples, nations et cultures ; et avec Dieu.   Cela fait beaucoup de choses \u00e0 penser, et cela peut \u00eatre intimidant, m\u00eame \u00e0 envisager.  Ne nous inqui\u00e8tons pas de savoir comment tout cela va se passer.
